February Makers’ Club: Creative retail

Retail is a key way for creatives to sell their products – but it’s not always easy and there’s lots to think about! Our next Makers’ Club will look at working with permanent retailers as well as the ever popular option of pop-up shops.

  • AnitaAnita Thorpe, founder of Diverse Gift Shop in Brixton, will go over her tips on pitching your products to shops – how to present yourself and your product, what to think about before approaching retailers, and how to follow up.
  • Also Bronwyn Lowenthal will present her top 10 tips for running successful pop-up shops as well some handy hints on what to avoid in your location search. Brownyn started her womenswear brand Lowie in 2002. Lowie has had a number of pop-up shops in well known London locations such as Neal Street in Covent Garden, Westfield Shepherd’s Bush and The Truman Brewery. And of course you will have the chance to network with other creative businesses, exchange ideas and views and catch up on the latest creative gossip! 🙂
